Description

Dike House is a farmhouse dated 1773, constructed of rendered rubble with a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and features two first floor windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars, although the frames have been renewed. The central doorway has a plain stone surround and a dated lintel, with a 20th-century four-panel door. The house has copings and end stacks. There is a single-storey extension on the left that is not of special interest. The name "Dike House" refers to its location near a linear earthwork, and it is situated on an older site.
