Description
The railings immediately south of St John's Almshouses date from the mid to late 19th century. They consist of seven cast-iron posts with octagonal shafts, each featuring moulded bases, shaft-rings, and finials shaped like small bishop's mitres, although two of the finials are missing. The railings include a tubular iron rail and are located on the pavement near the curb.
