Description
Challows Cottage is a cottage located at the left end of a terrace on East Street in Corfe Castle. It has origins dating back to the 17th century and has been altered over time. The cottage features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with a brick stack situated at the right end. It is one storey high with an attic. The entrance has a porch with a lean-to roof, and there is a second doorway that has been blocked. There are no ground floor windows. In the attic, there are three gabled dormers that contain 20th-century casements with diamond lead lights, along with a small window under the eaves that also features diamond lead lights. The interior has undergone significant alterations. The cottage is included for its group value.
