Description
This pair of cottages, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 800 meters east-southeast of Fifehead Neville Manor House, facing the road from Sturminster Newton to Hazelbury Bryan. The cottages feature colour-washed rubble walls and a thatched, gable-ended roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. They are single-storey with an attic and have a three-window range. The windows are 2 and 3-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, and there are eyebrow dormers with a wooden wall plate below. The ground floor openings are set under segmental brick arches, and the plank doors are likely original.
