Description
The Footbridge over the River Divelish is a packhorse bridge, likely dating from the medieval period, with some later restoration. It is built from coursed rubble stone and features timber railings.
The bridge is approximately six feet (about 2 meters) wide and spans 34 feet (around 10 meters) with two spans. It has two pointed, nearly straight-sided arches and a central pier that includes a full-height, pointed cutwater on the upstream side, while the downstream side lacks a cutwater. The bridge has a kerb made of rubble stones set on edge. The 20th-century timber railings have a single top-rail set diamond-wise and are cantilevered out from the structure of the bridge.
