Description

Puxey Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 16th century, with additions and alterations from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed from coursed rubble and brick, featuring stone quoins, and has tiled roofs with gable ends and brick end stacks on the original sections. The building has an L-shaped plan, with later additions to the north and east.

Notable architectural features include a three-light stone window with straight chamfered mullions and remnants of a moulded label, as well as a variety of wooden sash and casement windows. Inside, there are fireplaces with chamfered bressummers and continuously chamfered jambs, and to the left of one fireplace is an alcove with a round arch. The ceilings have deep stopped, chamfered beams, and there is decorative panelling with moulded muntins, along with a blocked door featuring a 'Tudor' arch that once led to a newel stair. Additionally, there is a timber diamond mullioned window located in what is now an internal wall, which is said to have had remains of lead cames.
