Description
A pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century, located on Belmangate in Guisborough. They are constructed of chevron-dressed sandstone, set on a stone plinth, with a Welsh slate roof and a central chimney stack rendered in brick. The cottages are two storeys high. Each cottage has a doorway with steps leading up on the left and right sides. Each also has one window on each floor; most windows are mid-20th century casements set in original openings, with the exception of the first floor window of number 52, which is a Yorkshire sash window with glazing bars. The windows have painted stone sills and keystones. Extensions to the rear of the cottages, on the west side, are not considered significant.
