Description

39 Belmangate is a cottage located at the end of a terrace, built around 1778. It is constructed of dressed sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof with stone gable coping and brick stacks on the gables. The cottage has two storeys and two bays. The door, which is off-centre and consists of four panels, was added in the mid-19th century when the left-hand side window was moved further to the left. The ground floor has mid-20th century casement windows, while the first floor features Yorkshire sash windows with glazing bars. The stone sills are painted.
