Description

Nos. 65 and 67 Belmangate are a pair of cottages built in the early 18th century. They are constructed of painted dressed sandstone and have a clay pantile roof, featuring stone ridge and gable copings. Each cottage is two storeys high and consists of two bays. The central doorway has a four-panelled door and is framed by a mid-19th century flat timber pilaster surround with a flat hood supported by brackets. The windows are Yorkshire sliding sashes with glazing bars and have painted stone sills.
