Description

The ice house and store hut, located 50 metres north of Wolfeton Manor, dates from the 18th century or later. The ice house is entirely subterranean and features a low entry passage on its west side. Above it, the store hut is constructed of chalk cob, rectangular in shape, and has a pitched galvanised roof. There is a cast iron window on the south wall and a plank door on the north wall. This ice house was used to serve Wolfeton House.
