Description

The ice house, located southwest of the stable block to the east of Hall Cottages, dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble limestone with ashlar dressings. The entrance is low, featuring a shallow lintel and a quoined surround, which leads into the ice pit through a narrow tunnel. Both the tunnel and the pit are lined with rectangular stone slabs.
