Description

Riverside Cottage is a detached cottage located in Steepleton Village, dating back to the 17th century, with later heightening. The building features squared rubble-stone and banded stone walls, topped with a thatched roof that has gable ends. There are brick stacks at the end gables. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows that have been renewed with three-light metal casements and glazing bars, along with wooden cills and lintels. At the centre of the upper storey, there is a two-light wooden casement. The front door, located centrally, is a plank door with one glass light, dating from the 20th century.
