Description
Rew Manor is a house set in grounds, built around 1840, with later 19th-century alterations to its windows and verandah. The building features rubble stone walls that are now roughcast and painted, topped with a hipped slate roof. There are rendered and painted stacks on the ridge to the left of the center and at the right-hand hip. The house has two storeys and attics, with four windows on the front and one window in a 19th-century extension. The first floor has sash windows with thin glazing bars (16 panes) and stone cills. On the ground floor, there are three later 19th-century French windows and a sash window to the right. The front door, located to the right of center, has six flush panels and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars. A verandah with cast iron treillage standards and an entablature pentice glazed roof is at the west corner, which returns north and has been converted into a small conservatory. The rear elevation features irregular fenestration with sashes and casements above, along with three doors: a plank door from the 20th century, a 19th-century flush panel door, and another door.
