Description
Bornegrove Cottage is a pair of semi-detached cottages located on the south side of Main Road in Winterborne St Martin. They date from the mid-18th century but were raised to two storeys in the 20th century and have undergone internal modernization. The cottages feature coursed rubble stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends. There are 20th-century brick stacks positioned at the left-hand ridge, centre ridge, and right-hand ridge. The cottages are 1½ storeys tall, with five windows on the ground floor and seven on the first floor. The windows are two-light wood casements with glazing bars, and they have wood cills and lintels. The front doors are both from the 20th century; No. 26 has a wood door with a glazed upper half located to the right of centre, while No. 27 has a plank and muntin door with a glazed upper half to the left of centre, both featuring wood lintels.
