Description
Staremahshe is a pair of attached cottages located in Winterborne St Martin, dating from the late 18th century, with some changes to the windows. The cottages feature rubble stone walls and a thatched roof, with a brick chimney stack on the left side. They are 1½ storeys high and have a total of four windows, which include two light wood and 20th-century metal casements. There are two eyebrow dormers above, each with two lights. The front doors are centrally located on each cottage; Westward Ho has a panelled and glazed door from the 20th century, while Staremahshe has a plank and glazed door, also from the 20th century. The cottages have rubblestone porches topped with gabled stone slab roofs.
