Description

Jasmine Cottage is a detached cottage, originally two dwellings, dating to the 17th century with alterations in the mid-18th century. The cottage has rubble stone walls with some patching and dressed stone quoins. The roof is thatched with gable ends. There are 19th-century brick stacks located along the ridge, to the left of the centre, and at the right-hand gable. The cottage is two storeys high with three windows. The ground floor windows were refenestrated in the 18th century and are sash windows with glazing-bars, wooden sills and lintels. The first floor has three two-light wooden casements with glazing-bars and wooden sills. The front door, located to the right of centre, is panelled with four glazed lights, and is a 20th-century addition, sheltered by a small pitched wooden canopy.
