Description

The former smithy adjoining No. 544 on the west side of Abbott Street in Pamphill is likely from the 19th century. It features colourwashed brick walls with a weather-boarded gable and a tiled roof with a brick stack. This single-storey building has an upper part of the roof raised for ventilation. It includes a ledged door and plain timber windows, as well as a loft door in the gable. A part of the furnace remains, and at the west end, there is a former shoeing house constructed of timber. This building is included for its group value.
