Description

No. 544 on Abbott Street is a late 18th to 19th century building featuring brick walls and a thatched roof with brick stacks. It stands two storeys tall with attics. The western section was likely originally a single-storey outbuilding that was later raised to two storeys and incorporated into the main house. The entrance has a six-panel door beneath a timber gabled hood, which seems to have been relocated. There is a blocked door in the western section. The ground floor includes two casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows and one blocked window. The attic is illuminated by a small window with lead lights in the gable wall. Inside, the ground floor rooms showcase exposed ceiling beams.
