Description

Sirio Cottage is an attached cottage dating from the early to mid-18th century. It features coursed, squared rubble walls and a thatched roof with stone gable copings on the left side, which include scrolled kneelers and a half-hip on the right side. The cottage has two storeys and two windows, which are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars and wooden cills, dating from the 20th century. The front door, located on the right side, is made of wood and has leaded glass panels above it. The stone lintel above the door features a large keystone, with the lintel stones and keystone adorned with fielded panels and a small bead moulding. There is a tablet below the eaves with a fielded panel, though it is illegible. Inside, the cottage has mid-chamfered ceiling beams.
