Description

The boundary wall and entrance gateway to the cemetery, which incorporates a war memorial, was built in 1922. The boundary wall is constructed of rubble stone and features stepped gabled coping, with intermediate piers that have stepped gabled caps. There is a low iron railing designed as a series of crosses. The entrance gateway is made of rubble stone with ashlar dressings and has a stone slate roof. It includes a moulded depressed four-centred arch within a square frame, complete with a hoodmould and Coats of Arms as stops. Above the arch, there is an inscription that reads "DO'SET MEN DON'T SHEAME THEIR KIND." The inner arch is also made of rubble stone. Inside the gateway, each jamb features an inscribed panel commemorating the first and second World Wars.
