Description
No. 3 Marsh Lane is a detached house that likely dates back to the 17th century and was enlarged to the south in the 18th century. The building features colourwashed brick walls and a hipped thatched roof, with brick stacks along the ridge. It has one storey and an attic. A 20th-century brick gabled porch is present at the front, which also displays a 19th-century letter box mounted on it. The entrance includes a ledged door. On the ground floor, there are three casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic features three dormers with casement windows. At the rear, there is a 20th-century flat-roofed single-storey extension. Inside, the main ground floor room has a large reconstructed open fireplace and some exposed ceiling beams. The entrance doorway retains one oak moulded jamb.
