Description
The lodge to South Lytchett Manor, located 700 meters east of the manor, is a detached building dated 1905, designed by architect W.D. Caröe. It features roughcast walls with Ham Stone dressings and a pyramidal slate roof topped with a central square roughcast chimney that has a moulded capping. The lodge is square in shape and showcases Edwardian Baroque style. It has one storey and an attic, with the elevation facing the drive featuring a three-arched loggia supported by rusticated piers. On either end of the loggia, there are round-arched windows with glazing bars. The side elevations are adorned with Flemish style gabled dormers.
