Description

No. 20 is a detached house with origins dating back to the 17th century, which has been altered and enlarged in the 18th century and later. The building features stone walls and a thatched roof, with brick and stone stacks. It is one storey high with attics and has single-storey extensions at each end that are of similar construction. The south extension has a ledged door. The ground floor includes six casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic has three dormers with similar casements. An old village fire ladder is fixed to the front wall. Inside, one ground floor room features a large open fireplace with a timber lintel, and another room contains the remains of a fireplace that has been partly built up, along with a deep chamfered ceiling beam.
