Description
Nos 43 and 45, including the attached stable range to the south, are a pair of cottages that may have originally been one house. They date from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The cottages have colourwashed brick walls and a hipped tiled roof, with brick stacks that feature oversailing courses. They are positioned at right angles to the road and are two storeys high. There is a single-storey rear lean-to with a slate roof, along with a 20th-century glazed rear porch. At the south end, there is another single-storey lean-to. The ground floor features three double-hung sash windows and one casement window, all with glazing bars. The first floor has four double-hung sash windows, also with glazing bars. The attached stable range at the south end is at right angles to the main range, with brick walls and a half-hipped tiled roof. This stable range is single-storey and includes a ledged door and one window with glazing bars.
