Description
Abbots Hill Farmhouse is an attached farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It features coursed rubble stone walls with rusticated ashlar quoins and a slate roof with gable ends, stone gable copings, and moulded kneelers. There are early 20th-century brick stacks at the gable ends. The building is two storeys high and has three windows with square stone mullions that are beaded and have moulded architraves and integral cills. The windows are of three lights, with a two-light window at the centre of the upper storey, all dating from the 18th century. The metal casements with glazing bars are from the 20th century. The central doorway features a beaded stone architrave and a plank door, with a 19th-century brick porch. There are outshuts at the north and south gable ends, each with pentice slate roofs.
