Obelisk 10 metres east of Parish Church (Burts of Mappercombe)

Obelisk. Mid C18. Stone aware base and pedestal with moulded cornice. Tapering obelisk with ball-finial at top, c. 12 foot high. Arms of Burt carved near top of obelisk. To: Thomas Burt (Latin inscription) died 1747, and to Thomas Burt senior of Mappercombe (Latin inscription) died 12 April 1749.
