Description

The Burt Table-Tomb, located 3 metres south of the church porch in Askerwell, dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of stone and features Indianizing corner pilasters. The tomb commemorates Thomas Gilles Norris Burt, who died on July 11th, 1818, as well as his wife Elizabeth and other members of the Burt family.
