Description
This is a 17th-century dovecote located 10 metres north-west of Melplash Court in Netherbury. It has circular walls made of coursed rubble stone, which show signs of wear in the pointing. The roof is conical, covered with stone slates, and features an open louvre at the top, topped with a small conical cap. The entrance is on the south-east side, with a square-headed plank door. Inside, the roof has been rebuilt, and there are pigeon-holes that extend from 3 feet above the ground to the eaves.
