Description

The dovecote south of Cowarne Court is a building that likely dates back to the medieval period. It is a round structure made of rubble, topped with a conical roof covered in tiles and stone slates. The dovecote features a wooden louver from the 17th or 18th century. Inside, it is lined with stone nests and originally had a domed stone roof. This information is documented in the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, volume II, page 59, plate 36.
