SY 49 NE NETHERBURY MELPLASH 4-12-1951 7/137 Melplash Court Farmhouse, (formerly listed as Dairy Farmhouse)

Detached Farmhouse. Early C17, with much refenestration in Cl9. Rubble stone walls. Asbestos slate roof with stone gable-copings. Brick stack at right hand gable. 2 storeys. 3 windows to north elevation, 2- and 3-light wooden casements with glazing-bars, wooden cills, C20. South elevation has Cl9 cast-iron casements with full glazing-bars. Front porch in the angle, C20, with a plank-and-muntin studded door, CW. Stone-arch voussoirs over. Interior:west room, deep-chamfered ceiling-beam. Open fireplace has straight-chamfered stone jambs, and a chamfered wooden lintel over. Source; R.C.H.M. Dorset I, p 174(10).
