Description
Two attached cottages date from the mid-18th century. They have rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof, with a hipped form at each end. A rendered stack is located at the left-hand eaves, and a brick stack at the right-hand eaves. The cottages are built to 1½ storeys, with four windows overall; these are 2- and 3-light metal casements with wooden cills. A two-leaf C20 door with a pentice slate canopy is centrally positioned on the front, while to the right is a plank door with glass lights in a wooden frame. A hipped thatch roof extends over an attached outhouse on the west gable-end, featuring a plank door. This listing reflects the group value of the cottages within the area.
