Description

Laymore Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating to the early 17th century. It is constructed of rubble-stone walls, which have been painted. The roof is thatched, with a half-hip on both the left and right sides. A brick stack, located to the left of the centre, backs onto the cross-passage. The farmhouse has approximately five windows, irregularly spaced, with 2- and 3-light wooden casements and metal glazing, set within wooden cills and lintels. A stable-type front door leads to a weatherboarded porch, which has its own half-hipped thatched roof.
