Description
Southcombe Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The building has a cob core to its walls, which are clad in brick and feature a dentil cornice. It is topped with a Roman-tile roof and has stone-coped gables. There are two brick chimney stacks, one on each gable, with the left-hand stack being rendered. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four windows, which are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars. There is a two-storey bay window at the left-hand end, and the windows include sashes. The eaves project, and there is a flat roof above. Some of the windows contain crown glass. Inside, there is a large open fireplace with a lintel above it, and a round-headed window on the staircase landing.
