The property at Holway is a 17th-century cottage located in Thorncombe Synderford. It is constructed of rubble walls, which have been rendered, and has a 20th-century Roman-tile roof. Brick stacks are situated at each gable. The cottage is two storeys high with a four-window front. There are casement windows with wooden frames and lintels, one featuring square leaded lights and early glass panes. Two thick, semi-circular wall posts are exposed from ground level to eaves. Two plank doors are protected by wooden lintels. Inside, the cottage contains deep-chamfered beams and a large open fireplace with a chamfered lintel. A plank door is also present.
