Description

Dairy House is a farmhouse dating to the 16th century with alterations from the 18th century. The walls are of rubble construction, with brick cladding on the east-facing front facade. The brickwork is in English bond, featuring a regular pattern with burnt headers. The roof is covered in plain tiles, and brick stacks rise from the ridge. The house has two storeys and a six- to seven-window front. It has renewed wooden casement windows with large panes of glass. A wide segmental brick arch is located at the right-hand end, indicating a former cart-shed. A studded plank door is sheltered by a lean-to roof of plain tiles. Inside, a large open fireplace is present, topped with a wooden lintel.
