Description

Ferndale House is a detached house dating from the 18th century. It features rubble walls that are plastered and painted, topped with a slate roof that has stone gable-copings at the gable ends. The house has two storeys and is composed of three bays, with an early 19th-century one bay extension on the right side. The windows are sashes with wooden glazing bars and crown glass, with the right-hand windows being large three-light sashes. Stone cills are present beneath the windows. The front door, which is from the 20th century, includes glass panels and a fanlight. There are three brick stacks, one at each gable and one to the right of centre.
