Description
Wood Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from around the mid-18th century. It features cob walls that are roughcast, and has a plain tile roof that is hipped and half-nipped on the right side. There are two brick stacks located at the hip apices on the left and right. The building is two storeys high and has five windows, which are wooden casements with three and four lights, all with wooden cills. At the front, roughly at the centre, there is a panelled wooden frame. The farmhouse has a roughcast porch from the 19th century, which has a square head and a gabled tile roof above it. The rear range of the farmhouse also has roughcast walls that are painted, with a corrugated iron roof that is half-hipped. This section is also two storeys high and has three windows, which are three-light wooden casements with lead lights and wooden cills. There are plank doors at the rear. Historically, the rear premises included a brewhouse and dairy.
