Description
Greenham House is a detached villa built in the early 19th century. It features brick walls that are stuccoed and has a hipped slate roof with two rendered brick stacks at the rear. The building is two storeys high and has cellars throughout. The east entrance front has three sash windows with thin glazing bars and painted stone cills. The front doorway is round-headed and includes a pilaster architrave and a fanlight with wooden glazing bars. There is a porch supported by stone Roman Doric columns and a plain entablature, with recently attached lion's masks. The door, from the 20th century, has recessed panels and multiple lights. Inside, there is a staircase with a plain mahogany handrail and wooden and cast-iron octagonal balusters. The interior also features a segmental-headed alcove, a marbled fireplace with reeded pilasters, and plaster cornices decorated with palmette and rinceaux motifs.
