Description

Lower Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 19th century. It features dressed stone walls with a rubble-stone base and has a hipped slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three windows, which are sashes with glazing-bars; the ground floor windows are tripartite. Above the windows, there are stone voussoirs. The front door is centrally located and has two long recessed panels, panelled reveals, and a semi-circular head, framed by a simple wave-moulded architrave. An unusual fanlight with flowing foliated glazing-bars is made of wood. At the rear, there is a roughcast wing.
