Description

No. 98 is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century, with renovations from the 20th century. It features rubble stone walls that are partially rendered and painted, topped with a thatched roof. The building has one brick chimney stack on the gable facing the lane and is one and a half to two storeys high. The windows are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars, and there is a wooden lintel and cill above them. On the ground floor of the north wall, there is one sash window with glazing bars. The front door, located at an angle away from the lane, is made of wood and includes a glass panel, dating from the 20th century. An attached garden wall made of rubble stone, dating from the 19th century, is present in front of the cottage.
