Description

The Reading Room is an attached building dated 1879, which was restored in June 1977. It features rubble stone walls with stone dressings and has a slate roof with stone gable coping on the right side. There is a brick stack at the right gable. The building is one full storey high and has two tall, round-headed windows with glazing bars and Y-tracery tops. These windows have moulded wooden frames, dressed stone window heads, and stone cills. The front door is centrally located, made of planks from the 20th century, and has a semicircular fanlight above it with glazing bars.
