Description

The Dove Inn is an attached public house dating from the 17th century, featuring raised eaves. The building has rubble stone walls and a thatched roof, with three brick stacks: one at the left gable and two on the ridge, which were rebuilt in the 20th century. It is one and a half storeys tall and has five to six windows, which are slight wooden casements, mostly from the 20th century and without glazing bars. The wooden cills and lintels are also present. At the right end, some casements do have glazing bars. The building includes five eyebrow dormers and three doors, spaced evenly from left to right. Each door is a plank design with six glass lights, dating to the 20th century, and is topped with a steep thatch canopy supported by wooden posts and brick walls, also from the 20th century. There are marks of two blocked doorways at the right end of the building.
