Description

ST LEVAN TRENGOTHAL SW 32 SE 7/246 Loose boxes at approximately 50 - metres west-north-west of Trengothal Farmhouse GV II

Probably loose boxes or stables and cartshed. Circa mid C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roofs with hipped or half-hipped ends. Plan: Irregular L-shaped plan with rectangular loose boxes or stables on the left joined to rectangular building, built forward at right angles at far right, by a small wing set back between the 2 buildings. Exterior: Single storey. Unaltered elevations with all the original openings. South east front has stable front on the left and end of cartshed built forward on the right. Stables have central window, 2 doorways on the left and wider doorway on the right; cartshed has wide doorway at front and set back between is a linking wing with a doorway at the front. Interior not inspected. Part of an unspoiled hamlet containing an interesting group of farmhouses and farm buildings all set in a beautiful rural landscape.
