Loose Boxes At Approximately 50 Metres West-North-West Of Trengothal Farmhouse

The loose boxes located approximately 50 metres west-north-west of Trengothal Farmhouse are likely stables or a cartshed, dating from around the mid 19th century. They are constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings and feature grouted scantle slate roofs with hipped or half-hipped ends. The building has an irregular L-shaped plan, with rectangular loose boxes or stables on the left connected to a rectangular building that projects forward at right angles on the far right, linked by a small wing set back between the two structures.

The exterior is single storey and retains all original openings, remaining unaltered. The southeast front displays the stable front on the left and the end of the cartshed built forward on the right. The stables include a central window, two doorways on the left, and a wider doorway on the right. The cartshed features a wide doorway at the front, with a linking wing set back in between that has a doorway at the front. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of an unspoiled hamlet that includes an interesting group of farmhouses and farm buildings, all situated in a beautiful rural landscape.
