Description

The road frontage walls of the former workhouse, known as Meneage Hospital, were built in 1855. These walls are made of low Elvan ashlar stone with a granite plinth. They feature segmental-topped copings and monolithic square gate piers with domed heads. Similar pier tops are found on the piers that divide the bays. These walls are included for their group value.
