Description

This is a town house, likely dating from the 17th century, that was remodelled in the mid-19th century. The exterior has incised stucco on a timber frame, with moulded consoles supporting a projecting first floor and a shallow jetty to the second floor, both adorned with square hoodmoulds. The roof is dry slate, topped with a large hipped dormer, and features a moulded eaves cornice and cast-iron ogee gutters. The house has a double-depth plan, with later extensions at the rear. It is three stories high, with a three-window front. The windows are modern replacements. A 20th-century shop front has been fitted, and there is a carriageway on the left-hand side. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to contain features of historical interest.
