Description
Lloyds Bank is a bank building constructed around 1870. It features rusticated freestone with a plinth and includes segmental, round, and flat arches, all adorned with stepped keyblocks. The mid-floor has a moulded entablature with a fascia, and there are moulded architrave strings along with a torus-moulded parapet entablature topped by a balustraded ashlar parapet with four bays. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a four-bay, four-window front. The first floor has flat arches over two-pane hornless sash windows, while the ground floor on the left has altered transomed windows. There is a doorway in the third bay with a two-pane overlight and a 20th-century door, all beneath segmental arches, along with a similarly detailed round-arched carriageway on the right. The interior has been altered in the late 20th century where inspected. This building is included for its group value.
