Description
Hetherbell, Trewinnard, and Wheal Dream is a row of three cottages, likely built in the 18th century. The cottages feature rendered rubble and cob walls, topped with a wheat reed thatched roof and brick chimneys over external rubble stacks at the gable ends, with a party wall on the right. The layout consists of a pair of one-room cottages on the left with entrance lobbies between them, and a similar cottage on the right with its entrance on the left. There may be later extensions at the rear, but these were not inspected.
The exterior is two storeys high with an overall five-window front, which was probably originally a three-window front, with each cottage having a one-window front and a doorway on one side. The doorways for Heatherbell and Trewinnard are located together. Heatherbell, on the left, features a 19th-century six-panel door, while the other cottages have 20th-century doors. Heatherbell and Trewinnard have late 19th-century or 20th-century six-pane horned sash windows, while Wheal Dream has 20th-century windows. The interiors were not inspected.
