Description
Verbina is a house, likely originally a pair of cottages, dating from the 18th century. The front is rendered over what is probably rubble and cob, and it has a grouted scantle slate roof. There is a large rubble chimney stack at the left-hand end, which serves as a party wall with Wheal Dream, and a rendered stack over the right-hand gable end.
The building is two storeys high and was probably designed with a symmetrical two-window front and two doorways in the middle. Currently, there is a window in the former right-hand doorway, and small windows have been inserted above the doorways. The house features a 19th-century six-panel door with an overlight, and there are late 19th-century horned sash windows in the original window openings and the former doorway. The interior has not been inspected.
