Description

ST AGNES QUAY ROAD, SW 75 SW 4/197 Verbina - GV II

House, probably originally a pair of cottages. Probably C18. Rendered over probable rubble and cob at the front. Grouted scantle slate roof. Large rubble stack at left-hand end (party wall with Wheal Dream qv), rendered stack over right-hand gable end. Plan: Originally probably a pair of 1-room-plan cottages with entrance lobbies in the middle. Possibly extended at rear (not inspected). Exterior: 2 storeys. Originally probably a symmetrical 2 window front with 2 doorways in the middle. Now there is a window in the former right-hand doorway and a small windows inserted over the doorways. C19 6-panel door, overlight; circa late C19 horned sashes in original window openings and in former doorway. Interior not inspected.
