Description

NORTH HILL SX 27 NE 4/139 Headstone of W. Peter and pair of adjoining tombchests 6 metres to south of south aisle of Church of St Torney GV II Headstone and two tombchests. Probably C18. Headstone of William Peter who died in 1795. Square headed slate headstone inscribed in upper and lower case lettering with serifs. Pair of tombchests. Stone rubble chests with thick granite rectangular lids. The lids have been carved with inscriptions in relief. These inscriptions were difficult to read at time of inspection.
