Description

Bosinney is a house, likely a former counting house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of roughly-coursed granite rubble with dressed granite quoins, jambstones, sills, lintels, and voussoirs. The roof is a three-quarter-hipped design covered with scantle slate, and there are brick chimneys on each side wall. The building features cast-iron ogee gutters.

The original layout consisted of two rooms with a cross passage between them. There is a 20th-century addition behind the left-hand room and a single-storey hipped-roofed addition on the right side. The house is two storeys tall and originally had a symmetrical three-window south front with a central round-headed doorway. The left-hand window was deepened in the 20th century to accommodate a glazed door. The original doorway now contains a 20th-century glazed door within its original frame, which features a cable-moulded transom above a blind fanlight and a projecting keystone over the doorway arch. The windows in the original openings are later 19th century or 20th-century four-pane horned sashes. The interior has been slightly remodelled in the 20th century but remains structurally fairly complete.
